Synthesis plays familiar hits and new original music, all with a Latin twist, but please don't confuse us with a Salsa band. We do more than just salsa. We play music from many countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean and Europe. Our infectious dance beats have been known to drive audiences wild, and our Latin ballads can cause love to bloom.
We combine Latin and American instruments into a unique sound. Electric and acoustic guitar, synthesized keyboards, electric upright bass, drums and Latin percussion are all part of the mix. We can also add horns, additional percussionists and male and female vocalists.
We play a diverse mix of standards and hits. Songs such as Tito Puente's & Santana's Oye Como Va and Elvis Crespo's Suavamente follow Sergio Mendes' Mais Que Nada, the Gipsy Kings' Moorea and songs representing many other world beat styles. We also play many romantic ballads. In other words, the best music in the world, from all over the world!
The Synthesis CD Alma Latina ("Latin Soul") includes the same hot Latin dance beats and features many of the original songs we play in our performances. Our new CD will be on the way soon (we hope). Watch this space for more news as the new album progresses.
